Thompson and Hine, LLP (Law Firm)
Designed and installed back-up voice circuit for New York office
Thompson and Hine, LLP is a world-renowned law firm. On several occasions their New York office lost their primary voice circuit. Unfortunately, there was no back-up circuit, so they could not receive or make calls for a better part of a day. Not a good scenario for any business, but crippling for a law firm. Saxon Technologies designed and installed a back-up solution. Saxon installed a voice circuit from a carrier that was different from their main carrier. This provided both central office diversity (for local diversity) and network diversity (for global diversity). If the main circuit were to go down again, the PBX will automatically re-route outgoing calls over the back-up. Additionally, the main carrier will forward all incoming calls to the back-up circuit. To clients and users of the system the backup system will kick in without anyone noticing the outage.
